Crochet Baby Monkey Hat

My friend was looking for an unique baby hat for her niece and she asked me if I could make a crochet baby hat for her. It was a challenge for me to make something different than usual, ordinary form of baby hats. So, I decided to make this crochet baby monkey hat, with ears on each side of the top.

The pictures above is the making process of this funny little stuff. I really enjoyed every part of crocheting it, specially for the ears and the braided laces. After finishing all parts of it, you can attach crochet flowers, ribbons or other accessories, whatever you like, to the baby hat, in order to be more gorgeous or pretty.

If you want the detailed pattern of this unique crochet baby hat, you can find the free pattern of it from the link below :

Crochet Shrug

My friend told me that she was looking for a shrug, in order to be matched with her lovely dress. So, I tried to make a shrug for her. I needed balls of  cream cotton knitting yarns to crochet this shrug. It was a trial and error experiment.

Crochet Baby Cloches

One of my working partner gave a birth to a child last August. It's a baby girl. I thought it would be nice if I could make something pretty for her little new born princess. So, I decided to make some crochet baby cloches. I used balls of different color of cotton knitting yarns to start crocheting these beautiful crochet baby cloches. The result was amazing, simple but elegant.

The pictures above are the making process of my first baby cloche. I used two kinds of knitting yarn material, wool and cotton. I chose a ball of grey cotton yarn to crochet the cupola of the cloche. For the list of the cloche and the  attached flower, I tried to use the unused white wool yarn to complete the cloche.

Besides the crochet flowers, you can attach various accessories to the cloches, such as crochet bow or other material, whatever you like, according to your creativity. But, I preferred to use flowers. Why? Because I believe the passion of the flowers can transfer a strong feminine touch to the cloches, especially for the baby girls.

Tadaaa ... the cloches were done. One cloche, two cloches, three cloche, four cloches ... Oh, I want to make more ...

Crochet Rose Projects

Crochet Roses

Rose, rose ... I do love roses. Since I found another way to make a crochet rose, I'm eager to make these crochet roses, more than before. The crochet roses are gorgeous, they can be beautifully attached to various accessories, such as brooch, hairpin or refrigerator magnet. Those crochet roses are also unique as wedding souvenirs and small gifts. Finally, I decided to start selling my own crochet roses, about a few weeks ago. If you are passionately fond of the roses and you want to try to make some crochet roses too, I can share the crochet pattern of June's basic rose as the link below :

I enjoy making these little stuffs. It's much easier than I thought before, so just do it. I used balls of different colors of cotton knitting yarns to make a bunch of crochet roses. You can make a crochet rose from different stuff of yarns, such as wool or nylons, whatever you like to use, with different result, of course.

Bacang Coin Sewing Purse

The Bacang Coin Sewing Purse
Do you know bacang? Bacang is a Chinese traditional rice dumpling which is wrapped with pieces of bamboo leaves until the shape is just like a pyramid. Few weeks ago, my friend told me about zip-itself coin purse from the craft passion and it's shape was similar to a bacang. It's unique, because you just need a zipper and a lace of long ribbon to make it. But instead of ribbon, I used a piece of fabric. I preferred to use fabric, because it's miscellaneous colors and motifs.

I also made another bacang purse for my sister as a gift of her birthday, with the folded fabric rose on the top of it.

Crochet Flower Book Cover

The crochet flower book cover
I think it's nice to have books covered by crochet. The crochet book cover makes an ordinary book different and unusual. Last year, I tried to make a crochet book cover for my old bible with a little flower bookmark. I used two color of cotton knitting yarns ( light brown and white ) to make this crochet flower book cover. Besides the bibles, it's suitable for other books too, such as novels, pocket dictionaries etc, with the fitted size of the books, of course.
